Lusso by mělo být označení nejvyšší výbavy k§že momo apod. (kromě výše zmíněných sérií). A mam pocit že serie Limitata je označena pořadovým číslem, takže bych řekl že těch by mělo být 500ks a edici Cup jsem viděl i u nás s řízením vlevo, takže to asi nebude jen pro Anglii.

Malo by ist o 600 kusov modelov GTV aj Spider vyrobene od roku 2001 s motorom 2.0 T.S., metaliza, dva airbagy, central na DO, radio s CD, 17" disky s 225/45R17, nejaky ELEGANT interier (asi ta specialna farba MOMO koze), stitok s cislom na stredovej konzole.

No podle VIN zjistil Kůrkyn že ta moje je nějaká Serie Speciale elegant, ale přesně splňuje to, co píše urbis...tak je to skutečně limitka ja myslel, že tam jen někdo nalepil štítek.

Owning a GTV Cup I have often been intrigued by the lack of knowledge and mysteries involving this limited edition car series.
Were there 150 cars built as originally stated or 155 and why that random figure?
Why were the European Cup cars only manufactured in Silver and how many of them were made.
And what was this racing series the cars commemorated and why the phrase, “a race series for Gentleman drivers”.
As a member of AROC and also AlfaOwner there does seem to be a lot of information out in cyberspace. Its often just being able to ask the right questions that is the problem ! To put a story together is always a team effort and the following information proves that point completely. Without the Alfa drivers of AlfaOwner and especially one member Clive the following article would be much less than it deserves.
With this research I now believe I have a clearer picture although facts and mysteries remain.
In 2001 through to 2002 Alfa decided to produce a special road going GTV to commemorate an Italian single car (GTV Cup) race series.
In the U.K. a total allocation of 155 of these beautiful GTV Cup’s from this Limited Edition series were sold. All of these cars were produced in Alfa Red with a unique Momo interior including a Serie Limitata plaque (in red text), a "Cup" kit featuring a wrap around body kit, classic teledial wheels in a unique titanium colour, side vents, rear spoiler and all with the glorious 3 Litre V6 24 valve Busso engine.
Originally the series was thought to be only 150 in number and the press at the time stressed this figure but the number of cars produced was certainly 155. A fact I can attest to owning as I do number 153.
It seems that this number was not quite as abstract as perhaps it might first appear for it was Alfa's tip of the hat to the Gabriele Tarquini driven 1994 British Touring Car Championship winning 155 series car.
But what was this special single car series in Italy the cars celebrated?
In fact the GTV cup series was not a championship as we might know it but rather a series of races for different people to have a go at driving a performance racing car around a variety of race circuits.
In total 16 vehicles were prepared and made available by Fiat Auto Racing.
Designed, in the marketing publicity, as a car series for motor enthusiasts and capable owners of sports cars (some might say gentleman drivers) it was a way to see how they would fare in a real competition on a true racetrack.
The Italian Supertourism Championship was actually 10 single events run on a variety of tracks such as Verano de' Melegari, Mugello and Monza with a total of 160 drivers taking part from all over Italy.
Each race consisted of a different set of 16 drivers enjoying the thrill of true competition.
After paying a reasonably nominal subscription fee for the C.S.A.I. driving license the real cost for this raceday experience was approx £3500 in 1999 money.
The race car set up for this GTV Cup series is recognisable for the subsequent commercial car aerodynamic kit but with a reduction in weight of over 200 kilo's, Michelin Slicks, lowered suspension, and the increased horsepower through chip adjustment it was a true racing machine.
To many it may appear to be a rich man's toy for the day but having a race prepared vehicle with tyres, dedicated mechanics and equipment provided in some ways it was a cheap entry into the always expensive world of serious motor sport.
Whilst the U.K. had an allocation of road going Cup's, Alfa offered the European mainland the GTV Cup too. On the outside visually they shared the Aero Cup kit, wheels and spoiler package but all were produced in LHD form and it was thought until recently only in Silver with the Twinspark engine and all with a unique numbered "black text" limited edition plaque.
It now seems that whilst the total LHD cars produced for Europe was 264 (still trying to work out which Alfa model this was a tribute to!!) not all of these cars were in the Silver TS version. The European production run it appears had 25 Red V6 cars that were additionally manufactured to the U.K. batch.
Having created a number sequence of 1-155 (Red text Serie Limitata Plaque) for the UK market, the European cars were also crazily numbered from 1 in this case up to 264 but with a black text Serie Limitata Plaque.
Typically Alfa confusing was their decision to not allocate all the LHD Red V6 cars in number sequence but instead put a plaque on them as and when they appeared.
For the serious connoisseur the position of the plaque is another issue. You would think that the Alfa instruction to the Pinanfarina factory that produced all the Cups would be to put them on the same position. Instead they can be on the left or right side or even in the centre of the console seemingly randomly placed.
One additional point of note is that the plaque is made from silver. If you look close on the top left hand corner you will see the small markings detailing both purity and the control assay.
I have found 4 of these LHD V6 Red Cups so far with the numbers 33, 34, 74 and 146.
As far as can be deduced all the left hand drive V6 Cups were destined for the Swiss market although with two of these now in Croatia and the Czech Republic they do migrate.
The U.K. GTV Cups have found their way across the length and breadth of the country although curiously Number 1 is located in Glasgow and Number 155 very close by in Scotland in Falkirk.
Having monitored the GTV Cup list there is still some way to go to tracking down all 155 cars with currently approx 65 unknowns still out there.
One Cup we know has been written off and scrapped - number 8, although several others have bounced back from Category C and D listing after accidents to return to the road.
The owners of the GTV Cups range in Alfa ownership experience but also in their thoughts of looking after and maintaining their Cups. Do you leave it as it rolled out of the factory gate or do you customize it and for some, make it the car it should have been and for many deserves to be ?
Modifications include putting on a replacement limited slip differential that splits the torque between the two front wheels in this case the Alfa Q2 system which actually has the additional benefit of safety (it is amazing how many existing Diff’s are exploding and damaging the gearbox casing these days with hefty bills) but also a far more enjoyable driving experience..Many have also altered the exhaust system with two and sometimes four rear pipes showing instead of the standard single back pipe. Throw in upgrading the suspension with more sporty Koni dampers and Eibach lowered springs, never mind additional stickers and badging and it’s easy to see how the Cup owner spends money (and that’s before the normal Alfa maintenance bills !!)
Another whole ownership avenue is the “Cup a Like” cars that have sprung up in a sort of homage to the Cup. Here owners take a suitable donor GTV car and add the various bodywork components (side skirts, front valance, side vents and rear spoilers etc) to make it look from the outside as a Cup.
I would advise any would be prospective Cup owners reading this if you want to own one of these cars to always check it’s a true Cup with the limited edition plaque and the correct documentation. I would add that these Cup a Like’s are almost always red in colour just like the UK Cup series, so be careful although a Gold “Cup a like” does exist and for many it’s a beauty and by all accounts unique.

Diky Urbis za zajimavy clanek. Skoda ze vsechny tyhle limitky byly jen zpusob jak vytahnout z lidi vic penez za "exkluzivitu". Po technicky strance se nic nemenilo (na rozdil trebas od Focusu RS vs RS 500).

No mne podla e-peru tiez pise ze 3,0 V6 24V a MEDIO a mam cierne MOMO sedacky, tak neviem, ale co mam k domumentacii vsetky papiere, tak tam je aj dobova brozura 4/98 (auto bolo kupovane na SK) a tam pre 3 liter je iba jedna verzia a veci ktore su nadstandard su:
interier v kozi, interier red style - blue style, vyhrievane predne sedadla, elektronicke bezp. zariadenie, el. ovladane bezp. okno, metalicky lak, perletovy lak, priprava na mob. telefon, zabudovane autoradio so snimatelnou prednou castou, kit sport.

Urbis tusis co je ten kit sport? O tom je zminka v uzivatelsky prirucce a sice ze to s nim jede o 10km/h vic. Ja neviem preco mam k ´98 uzivatelsku prirucku k predfaceliftu v cz ( hold tak to uz na slovensku byva ). Moje gtv ma tento pack kit ale v brozure sa pise iba o prednom a zadnom spojlery a ja mam aj prahy tak neviem, a k tej rychlosti som to ja pochopil tak, ze ked to tam je (ten kit), tak sa maximalka zvysuje na 250 km/h, akoby ten papierovy udaj "maximalna rychlost" bol mysleny tak, ze pri tejto rychlosti je auto este stabilne, lebo pochybujem ze kus plastiku navyse zvysuje vykon motora aj keby bol pritlak sebevacsi skor sa jedna o vacsiu stabilitu vozidla, asi.

Auta bez aerodynamické podpory /křídla atd/ mívaly a možná ještě mají omezovač obvykle na 250..
JendaV6 tohle asi bude vědět přesně--druhá věc je, že křídlo je prvek, kterej ve vyšší rychlosti mění aerodynamický proudění dost podstatně...a pokud je za zadkem běžný kase výrazná turbulence na nějakém zlomu, může i tenhle kousek plastu podstatně ovlivnit odtok a tím pádem maximálku v rozsahu 4% bez problémů..
Starý porschata se při týhle rychlosti bez křídla obracely v protivětru na záda--lehkej předek jak od 120 dělal svoje..v tomhle jsou ty dvoutunový dálniční lokomotivy přece jen
víc v pohodě..
JendaV6 tohle asi bude vědět přesně--druhá věc je, že křídlo je prvek, kterej ve vyšší rychlosti mění aerodynamický proudění dost podstatně...a pokud je za zadkem běžný kase výrazná turbulence na nějakém zlomu, může i tenhle kousek plastu podstatně ovlivnit odtok a tím pádem maximálku v rozsahu 4% bez problémů..

Nejsem si jisty zda kridlo (ktere jiz mam) mi prida na max. rychlosti viz. popis nahore.
Jedna se spise o max. pritlak na zadni napravu )jak jiz bylo psano)tzn. i vetsi odpor. Z vlastni zkusenosti (na kadet GSi) vim ze to spis ubere z max. rychlosti ... ale resit 10km/hod opravdu neni moje priorita...
